commenced his accountancy career with Coopers & Lybrand in 1978. He completed his Bachelor of Business Studies graduating in 1985 and was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1986 and become a Fellow of the Institute in 1997.
Michael specialises in assisting small business and the trades grow their business and highlight Profit Improvement potential through introducing strategies to improve the business. Michael also provides technical advice on Business Rearrangements and
re-structures and the associated tax and capital gains
implications, business setup and acquisition, business
valuations and disposals. Self Managed Superannuation Fund
Administration and Property Negative Gearing are also in his
field of specialisation.
He has a wide knowledge of what computer programs best
suit you and your business and the Firm can provide all
support for any accounting systems they recommend. Michael can also assist with specialist Tax enquiries and solutions for all types of industries and business types

In 1977 Bob commenced with Coopers & Lybrand working in
Deniliquin, New Guinea, Albury and Yarrawonga. Bob
specialises in Small Business and the Primary Production
Industry and can advise on all aspects of Primary Production
including farm succession planning, estate planning, trading
structures, tax planning, advice on property and equipment
acquisition, financing & re-financing, farm disposals, etc.
In addition Bob also assists with specialist Tax enquiries and solutions for all types of industries and business types. He can also offer specialist advice in the Earthmoving Industry including Equipment Acquisition, finance & re-financing and has contacts of Financiers who specialise in the finance of Farm, Earthmoving & Small Business equipment financing.
joined O’Bryan & O’Donnell in 1998 and commenced part-time studies. He left to study full-time, completed his Bachelor of Business in 1999
and re-joined the Firm. Prior to this Rob had an extensive
career in the banking sector. Rob attends to the preparation of
Financial Statements, Tax Returns and Business Activity
Statements for all types of entities.
In addition, Rob attends to the administration and preparation
of individual Income Tax Returns and can assist you in
determining all the claims and tax offsets that you are entitled
to and any Capital Gains issues. He can also source finance and vehicle acquisitions at the best current rates.
joined the Firm in 2005 and started his degree studies on a part-time basis completing his Bachelor of Business Degree at Charles Sturt
University in 2010. He intends to commence his study for
admission to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in July
2011. Over these years Travis has developed his IT skills
enormously and now provides all software assistance to
clients. This enables clients to get immediate advice on any
issues they may have with accounting software recommended
by our Firm.
Travis also attends to completing Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements for all types of entities and attends to Primary Production subsidy applications.
has been with O’Bryan & O’Donnell since 2000. Her background prior to this was in industry particularly in relation with Human Resources with a
large abattoir and prior to that had further public accounting
practice. Jan is involved in preparation of Financial Statements,
Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements for all
trading entities. In addition Jan is involved with the preparation
of Financial Statements of Self Managed Superannuation
Funds and all aspects of compliance required for a Self
Managed Superannuation Fund. Jan also attends to other
special client requirements.
joined O’Bryan & O’Donnell in 2002 and is currently studying her Bachelor of Business Degree on a part-time basis. Cassandra also is
involved in preparation of Financial Statements, Income Tax
Returns and Business Activity Statements for all trading
entities. In addition she is involved with the preparation of
Financial Statements of Self Managed Superannuation Funds
and all aspects of compliance required for a Self Managed
Superannuation Fund and attends to special needs of clients.
originally joined O’Bryan & O’Donnell in 2000 and
left briefly before returning in 2008. Her major roles are in
administering the workflow and lodgement of Business Activity
Statements and Banklink report processing within the office.
Jan also attends to Taxation Office queries on behalf of clients.
In addition she administers all company and SMSF Secretarial
requirements including preparation of all documents to be l
odged with ASIC, set-up of Companies, Trusts and
Superannuation Funds, de-registrations, preparation of
minutes where required and Annual Returns required by ASIC.
has been with O’Bryan & O’Donnell since 2006
and is our friendly receptionist. Denise also attends to the
lodgement of Tax Returns and administration & processing
of Income Tax Assessments.
has been with O’Bryan & O’Donnell since 1985
and is involved in office administration. Sue has become a
self taught expert in the use of MYOB and in addition to
administration assists clients with issues they may have with
MYOB.
In 1988 Michael O’Bryan and Robert O’Donnell purchased the Accounting Firm in Yarrawonga from Coopers & Lybrand (Pricewaterhousecoopers) whom they both had been employed by for the previous 10 years and have continued to grow the Practice. Since 1988 the practice has acquired a Firm in Shepparton and opened offices in Shepparton, Mooroopna, Kyabram and Wodonga but has since centralised these offices in Yarrawonga travelling to service these clients at their premises. The Firm has a diverse range of clients who operate their business through Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and as Sole Traders including Farmers (Cropping, Dairy, Livestock, Orchard, Ricegrowing,), Small Business (Professionals, Retailers, Hospitality, Earthmoving, etc.) and Tradespeople of all sizes and industries. We provide professional, accurate and timely advice on business structures and with our network of affiliates can provide advice on Financial & Retirement Planning, SMSF Investment & Administration, Risk Insurance and niche accounting services.
